This is a service I offer to writers whose full manuscript I have already edited, so that I am very familiar with the narrative and can be sure to help customize the publishing-packet materials in a way that is true to the work. These materials generally include a query letter, a long and a short synopsis, an elevator pitch, and an author bio. An additional service is a line edit of your first ten pages.
Note that this service can be adjusted depending upon whether you want to go the agent-to-publisher route or to pursue publication with an independent literary press that accepts direct submissions (without an agent). Or we can discuss self- or hybrid publishing options. We’ll discuss which plan is best for you and your project.
- First, we’ll meet via Zoom to help you gather information for writing all the documents you’ll need to prepare. I’ll also share helpful resources with you, and we’ll create a schedule for you to draft the documents.
- We’ll also schedule additional meetings to review my editing of your materials.
- We can schedule more check-in meetings as needed until you’re confident your publishing packet will be compelling to agents and publishers.
